Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) has concluded plans to relocate to a temporary office space to allow for the construction of an ultramodern world-class office edifice.
The General Manager of the Agency, Tpl. Ajibike Shomade disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Agency by the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide.
Tpl. Shomade stated that the redevelopment of the Agency’s compound into an iconic twin-tower edifice of 13-floor building for LASURA is in line with its efforts to provide leadership in urban renewal and set the right direction for the future.
She explained that the construction of the iconic structure has necessitated the need for the agency to operate from a temporary office situated at Work Yard Road, PWD, Ikeja GRA, to continue the operation of the agency while the building project is ongoing.
In his remark, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, applauded the great initiative and called for the immediate release of a time-bound action plan for effective and successful project execution.
The redevelopment of the new office building will occupy 2000 square metres of the over 8500 landmass and will birth a twin-tower 13-floor world-class edifice.
